There are missions for which an assault rifle is too much a handgun is too little. Close quarter combat, law enforcement tasks, personal protection: these are the situations where submachine guns excel, trading in range for a high rate of fire and ease of use by soldiers.

MANUFACTURER: Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod
The third member of the Czech Scorpio family has already been developed to meet the expectations of the 21st century, using Laugo, a Slovakian prototype designed for personal protection as a basis. With the use of the purchased schemes, the engineers and technicians of Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod created the Scorpion Evo 3, which was introduced in 2009. The short-barrel, compact submachine gun was primarily designed to meet the needs of law enforcement agencies, therefore small size and low weight were paramount.
Built with a fiberglass-reinforced plastic receiver, pistol grip, stock and handguard, the compact Scorpion EVO 3 A1 is a lightweight, blowback, open-bolt submachine gun suitable for semi-automatic shots, three-round bursts, and full automatic fire. The length of the weapon can be further reduced by folding or removing the shoulder stock. There is a fire selector on either side of the weapon, and the magazine release can be placed on the left and right, so the weapon can be used comfortably by right- and left-handed shooters.
The handguard is equipped with four MIL-STD-1913 rails, so it can be equipped with the necessary accessories in dependence on the task.
9×19 mm and 9×21 mm. Magazine capacity: 30 rounds.
